Police Calls: Young vandals return to the scene

Oct. 7

8:52 a.m. Employees were cleaning up the spill on U.S. Highway 93 after a fuel leak spilled at least 50 gallons of diesel.

6:03 p.m. Someone requested law enforcement to drive by Fourth Street after noticing ongoing suspicious activity including people arguing and talking about drugs.

9:50 p.m. A concerned caller noticed the construction trailer on Meadowlark Lane was open and no one was around, so he closed the door and locked it.

9:55 p.m. The caller offered a ride to the man who appeared to be extremely drunk and was stumbling and falling while on Colorado Avenue.

Oct. 8

11:02 a.m. Although the caller has not seen the bear that is reportedly turning over trash cans on O’Brien Avenue, he said “due to poo size, (it) is a biggie.”

11:20 a.m. The caller was understandably uncomfortable about a man in an old truck who offered the caller’s children a dollar and claimed he was not a stranger and that he loved kids.

3:57 p.m. Two dogs were lost for several hours, found by different people and returned to the owner.

4:38 p.m. Possibly four occupants in a Honda were flipping the caller off and bouncing around their lane on the Big Mountain Road.

5:09 p.m. The driver of a yellow Honda was reportedly intoxicated, “peeling out” on Whitefish Avenue and causing a verbal disturbance, too.

7:27 p.m. The caller reported that someone stole a nice piece of wicker furniture from a location on Seventh Street.

Oct. 9

8:47 a.m. There is an ongoing issue with vandalism on LaBrie Drive.

12:02 p.m. There is another ongoing issue concerning a neighbor driving a car and a dirt bike too fast on Cascade Court.

1:56 p.m. Four juveniles have admitted to the vandalism on LaBrie Drive and returned to the scene, this time to clean up the mess.

Oct. 11

11:05 a.m. A semi hit a stop light pole on Spokane Avenue.

4:43 p.m. A small Rottweiler puppy was found on Eighth Street.

Oct. 12

7:43 p.m. The manager of the business on Spokane Avenue was concerned that some of the guests were doing drugs.

10:21 p.m. An alert caller reported that a medium-sized, tall, skinny, tan dog with short hair and a collar was on the bridge and heading toward the gas station.

1:39 a.m. Two males and one female on Central Avenue were trespassing and trying to steal things. They eventually ran out of the building, laughing and throwing an alcohol bottle on the ground, shattering it.
