At the conclusion of the month-long Subaru Loves Learning program, Don “K” Subaru gave $2,000 to East Evergreen Elementary School.

Laurie Barron, Superintendent of the Evergreen School District, Melissa Hardman, Principal of Evergreen Crossroads School and Sherry Odegard, Principal of East Evergreen Elementary were on hand to accept the donation, an additional $400 from Adopt-A-Classroom.org and a large number of healthy snacks and classroom supply kits from employees of the local Subaru dealership.

“We believe strongly that every child should have the materials and tools they need to be successful," said Kevin Kaltschmidt, General Manager of the local Subaru dealership. “When we asked Principal Odegard what she needed, she told us that her students needed enriching snacks to help them get through their days.”

Barron added, “We could not be more grateful for the generosity of Don K Subaru and the entire team here at the dealership. We will use these funds and supplies to provide healthy snacks for our students to keep their energy high and their mental focus strong during their long school days.”

Don “K” Whitefish says the dealership is committed to local involvement and sees it as a way to say thank you to their many loyal customers. The business added it is determined to remain an employer of choice in the valley and to support our area nonprofits.
