Police Calls: Possible crock pot poaching

October 17

6:35 a.m. According to a neighbor on Cottonwood Court, the crew across the street started pouring concrete at 5:30 a.m. The construction workers were advised of city ordinances relating to noise.

10:47 a.m. Several items, including a donation bin, a flat screen TV, a couple bags and possibly a crock pot, were reported stolen from a location on Baker Avenue.

3:02 p.m. A middle-aged white male raised suspicions because he was acting oddly and had “squeezed himself” into a van in the parking lot on Highway 93.

3:40 p.m. Someone on Skyles Place is wondering if it is legal for the operator of the drone to be flying it over his property for the last several days.

5:07 p.m. A couple of cars had a fender bender in a parking lot on Highway 93.

October 18

3:08 p.m. A few young adults in a car with Florida plates were unsure about the laws regarding marijuana. They were counseled on their behavior and were apparently not doing anything else suspicious on Central Avenue.

5:40 p.m. A northbound car on Whitefish Stage was speeding and making bad passes.

6:01 p.m. Reportedly, two teeagers were pushing a stroller into traffic on Central Avenue.

6:52 p.m. She lost her small, navy purse somewhere in Whitefish.

October 19

7:18 a.m. The drivers exchanged information and there was minimal damage when one truck hit another parked vehicle on Baker Avenue.

4:37 p.m. A young boy was locked in the bathroom on Third Street but he was able to get out.

October 20

10:35 a.m. Although the caller wanted to report the vehicle that had been parked on Masters Court for over a week, he did not want to go outside to read the license plate because “this is the time the bear comes around.” The driver of the vehicle was advised of the municipal code.

11:00 a.m. Someone reportedly broke into a Mercedes on Highway 93 last night.

12:17 p.m. A brown and white pit bull had been missing for a few hours.

1:47 p.m. A set of keys was reported as stolen from Colorado Avenue..

2:39 p.m. He lost his wallet somewhere in Whitefish, maybe at a gas station or the McDonalds.

4:11 p.m. Another vehicle that is lingering, this time on Pine Place, was stickered.

7:41 p.m. There was as black bear up a tree on O’Brien Avenue. The caller said it has been hanging out for weeks and does not act aggressively.

October 21

10:35 a.m. The caller was concerned about the neighbor’s small dog coming onto his property on Third Street, mainly because his dog is much bigger.
