Visitors to Glacier National Park won’t be able to access Logan Pass before June 27, park officials said Friday.

The Going-to-the-Sun Road will not open fully open before that date this year, park spokeswoman Brandy Burke said Friday.

Burke said that does not mean the road will open the day after, like June 28. It just means the road won’t open before June 27. The park doesn’t project opening dates for the scenic highway.

Meanwhile, people visiting the park over the weekend were able to drive as far as Lake McDonald Lodge on the west side and Rising Sun on the east side.

People can hike and bike as far as the Loop on the west side and Wild Goose Island on the east side.

The Two Medicine Road is open to vehicles — it had closed Thursday due to bad weather — but has since reopened.

The free hiker-biker shuttle runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Apgar Visitor Center.

Plows are now at Rip Rap Point, which is beyond Big Bend. East side crews have plowed to Jackson Glacier Overlook.

The Bowman, Camas, Quarter Circle Bridge and Chief Mountain roads are all open.

The Many Glacier and Cut Bank roads are closed to vehicles, but open to hikers and bikers.

Folks should see plenty of fresh snow in the higher terrain as the park saw a snowstorm Thursday night. Temps are expected to dip again for the upcoming weekend with highs in the mid to upper 30s, and snow is possible Friday through Sunday.
