City Council Preview for May 16

Whitefish City Council meets on Monday, May 16 beginning at 7:10 p.m. at City Hall.

Individuals are encouraged to provide written public comment to the City Clerk, Michelle Howke at mhowke@cityofwhitefish.org or deliver by 4 p.m. on May 16, at City Hall in the Utility Drop Box.

Items on the agenda, subject to change:

-Consideration of an ordinance rezoning approximately 7 acres of land located at the northwest corner of the terminus of Pheasant Run from County R-3 (one-family residential) to WB-2 (secondary business district) and WR-2 (two-family residential).

-Consideration of a request from Ben and Melissa Haigh for a conditional use permit to develop a guesthouse at 1001 Creek View Drive.

-Consideration of a request from Karrow Whitefish Investment LLC to amend a preliminary plat and adjust nine of the 10 lots within the approved preliminary plat at 95 Karrow Avenue.

-Consideration of a request from Peregrine Automotive LLC for a preliminary plat for a seven-lot commercial subdivision.

-Consideration of an ordinance amending the grounds and vegetation section of the Whitefish City Code.

-Consideration to award a construction contract for Armory Park, phase three.

-Council will discuss letters from citizens with concerns regarding the animal-resistant trash containers.

There will be a work session prior to the regular meeting that will begin at 5:30 p.m. to review the Transportation Plan update. Then at 6:15 p.m. council will hold another work session to discuss the viaduct improvements.
