Whitefish Credit Union’s High School Spirit Debit Card campaign had another successful year giving $13,995 to local high schools, a record amount since the campaign started in 2016. Since then, Whitefish Credit Union has donated over $60,000 to local high schools through the program.

Each high school spends the donations based on their unique needs. These funds have been put towards supporting academic programs, athletic teams, and classroom materials.

WCU’s High School Spirit Debit Card program allows members to choose a MasterCard debit card featuring their chosen high school’s color and logo. When a new card is issued, the credit union donates five dollars to the school displayed on that card. Whitefish Credit Union has partnered with Bigfork High School, Columbia Falls High School, Flathead High School, Glacier High School, Lincoln County High School, Polson High School, Thompson Falls High School, and Whitefish High School to offer a High School Spirit Debit Card.

“The communities we serve have a tremendous amount of pride in their high school,” said Jim Kenyon, President & CEO for Whitefish Credit Union. “We’re proud to support our high schools through our debit card program and thankful for our members who help make these donations possible.”
