Flathead Valley ski racers continue to excel this season
Young ski racers from the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation team traveled to two Youth Ski League (YSL) slalom races at Great Divide on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20. The races were for skiers aged 6-15 and participants came from areas all over the state including Red Lodge, Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Missoula, Helena, and more. The Flathead Valley team continued its successes across different age groups and genders.
The U14 and U16 teams are competing in two super-g races and three giant slalom races at Discovery Ski Area near Phillipsburg, Montana on Feb. 24-27. All races are qualifying events for end-of-the-year Western Region championships in March.
