Police Calls: Bear rifling through garbage asleep on lawn
June 10
7:59 a.m. A crosswalk sign was down but not damaged on Pine Avenue.
8:03 a.m. It looked as if the man with a tent backpack right in front of the caller’s home was about to make himself comfortable so the caller would like him to move along.
9:44 a.m. Neighbors on Skyles Place are concerned about the lack of care given to the dog next door. They say the dog is constantly in a cage with feces and today a neighbor helped the pup when it got its paw stuck in the cage.
10:45 a.m. A man dressed in black was hanging out for a few hours on First Street and appeared to be talking to himself. He then made a woman feel very uncomfortable after he asked her to do some poses.
11:59 a.m. A mother bear and her two cubs were seen walking along the Whitefish River near Spokane Avenue.
12:21 p.m. Someone on State Park Road called police with questions about how to “get rid of a mean cat in the neighborhood.”
12:53 p.m. A green Subaru and a white Saturn that have been parked on Fourth Street for over a week got stickered.
1:58 p.m. The caller was concerned about the gunshots he was hearing until police assured him the sounds were, indeed, gunshots coming from the shooting range.
4:41 p.m. A bear got into some unsecured garbage and fell asleep on a lawn on Suncrest Drive.
4:51 p.m. A recently evicted woman told police that she cannot be evicted because Donald Trump and Mike Pence own the building.
6:25 p.m. When the caller stopped her car, a young boy rode his bike up to her vehicle and touched it with his tire. Police reminded the boy of the dangers of riding in the road.
8:08 p.m. In another case of unsecured garbage attracting bears, a young black bear was seen getting into garbage on Wisconsin Avenue.
8:49 p.m. A caller who has been out of town, returned to find an ID and a credit card in his trash.
10:19 p.m. The caller is concerned about the neighbor’s dog who barked all night last night.

9:53 a.m. A caller lost a phone with a wallet attached last night on Central Avenue.
12:23 p.m. A driver called to report what he thinks was a young grizzly bear walking into a backyard area on Skyles Place.
4:58 p.m. Another caller lost a light brown, leather wallet on First Street.
7:35 p.m. Tragically, police believe someone is feeding the bear cub that has been seen multiple times on Wisconsin Avenue.
10:29 p.m. On Highway 93, a female in a red jacket is making everyone feel uncomfortable.
11:39 p.m. Meanwhile, there was a man on Depot Street “being a creep” and “being rude to Amtrak agents."
June 12
6:42 a.m. A man on Central Avenue called the police because he was cold and needed a ride.
7:17 a.m. Sunglasses and a wallet were reportedly found.
11:51 a.m. The caller lost his iPhone on Spokane Avenue.
1:54 p.m. According to the caller from Mount Lorni Road, there was a drone flying around and viewing inside the family kitchen when it was dinner time. When the wife went out to investigate, the drone flew off.
6:22 p.m. A duck and ducklings keep crossing back and forth at the intersection on Central Avenue and the caller is concerned about their welfare.
