Glacier Symphony’s Night at Rebecca Farm returns in July
Beautiful scenery and warm summer weather in northwest Montana invites all to get outside and enjoy good food and good company. At Glacier Symphony’s Symphony Night at Rebecca Farm pops concerts in July, attendees can combine those things with great music at Rebecca Farm — one of the area’s most spectacular venues. This longstanding partnership with Rebecca Farm has become a Flathead Valley summer tradition and an annual highlight for residents and summer visitors alike.
Symphony Night at Rebecca Farm will take place on two consecutive evenings, July 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. for revelers to prepare for the magical, musical experience to come. Guests can either bring their favorite beverage, food and a blanket to spread out on the grass, or reserve a picnic table and create a picnic “ambiance” in the beautiful Montana scenery. Although many patrons do bring in their own food and drink, there are always plenty of food trucks around with some of the best the Flathead Valley has to offer. This year is no exception, as Glacier Gourmet, Norms News, S&M Taco, Antonio's Pizza, and Rebel Roots will be present at the Farm to supply delicious refreshments to concert attendees.
Performing under their signature saddle tent, the Glacier Symphony under the baton of Maestro John Zoltek will present a program of classic orchestra pops and light classical music — the perfect accompaniment to an evening under the Montana sky. Last summer these popular concerts attracted the largest audiences in the history of the event with over 2,500 people each evening.
This year the theme is “Movie Music Magic” and the program contains tunes everyone will recognize from their favorite films, including Lord of the Rings, Superman, West Side Story, and the James Bond 007 franchise. There will also be a special “surprise” set from one of America’s most popular film composers.
Tickets are either unreserved by the carload, or a limited number of picnic tables that seat eight people can be reserved, either open-air or under a tented area. There are also tickets available in an open-air family area reserved at the back of the field. If you prefer to bike in, the tickets are only $5 at the gate.
“Everyone at GSC looks forward to July and this signature summer event,” says Zoltek. “Bring your blanket, stadium chairs, family and friends for what promises to be a deliciously fun evening.”
