North Valley Music School hosts annual music event
On Sunday, August 7, North Valley Music School will host the Montana Music Event, a fundraiser for the nonprofit music school. Currently in its sixth year, the gathering provides essential support for music programming and is an opportunity to bring musical performance to the community.
“Last year, we put a new twist on this popular annual event after reflecting on how nice it would be to listen to the music on the lake,” said NVMS Director of Opportunity Jessica Shaw. “Happily, the Montana Music Event as an outside experience was a big hit! We hope everyone can join us for great music at a great venue for a great cause.”
The MME is held at Stillwater Landing in Whitefish and showcases over a dozen talented local musicians and NVMS faculty. Guests can enjoy food trucks, craft beer, local wine, free face painting, and a guitar raffle where one could win a Gibson Songwriter Acoustic Guitar valued at $3000.
Main Gates open at 5:30 pm on Sunday, August 7 and the show will start at 6 pm. and end at 9 pm. General Admission Tickets are $25 and Junior Tickets are $5. Kids aged four and under get in free. Blankets, chairs, and cash are encouraged. Service animals are welcome; personal pets are asked to remain at home.
Prior to the main event, a VIP Social is from 5-6 pm. Tickets are $100 and limited to 75 guests. The VIP Social includes chamber music, priority parking, two drink tickets, gourmet charcuterie bento boxes, a custom thank you gift, and the chance to mix and mingle with the event’s performers. VIP Ticket sales close on July 20.
“As NVMS celebrates its 25th Anniversary, we see this evening as a musical gift to our community,” said Shaw. “We hope everyone come celebrates with us and enjoy what we hope will be a perfect summer night in Montana.”
