North Valley Food Bank holds February food drive

| January 26, 2022 1:00 AM

North Valley Food Bank is running its second annual Valentine’s Day food drive and fundraiser, FEED LOVE.

Beginning Feb. 1 through Valentine’s Day, the food bank is collecting “comfort food” to help our neighbors through the rest of this winter. As we all know, winter is a long season here in the northern Flathead Valley. NVFB is asking for non-perishable hearty food donations such as soups, stews, pastas, nut butters, cornbread mix, baking supplies and other items that will help individuals, families and seniors thrive in the cold weather.

Food donations can be dropped off in the large collection box outside the food bank at 251 Flathead Avenue or in donation bins at cafes, coffee houses and restaurants throughout Whitefish. Look for the red FEED LOVE posters. Many of these businesses are running a special with proceeds from the sales going to North Valley Food Bank. Let’s spread the love by supporting local businesses while supporting the food bank.

North Valley Food Bank is also inviting people to FEED LOVE by sponsoring a family’s weekly groceries through a donation of $100 or more on the food bank’s website, northvalleyfoodbank.org. Feed love and feed a family!

North Valley Food Bank thanks all of our open-hearted friends this Valentine’s Day who can help us FEED LOVE to our neighbors with nutritious, hearty food.
