Carnival Treasure found

| February 9, 2022 1:00 AM

The Pitman family including Elizabeth and her brother Adam, with niece Lucia, and nephew Henry found the Whitefish Winter Carnival Treasure Wednesday morning. The Pitmans have found the treasure in some years past as well and enjoy searching every year.

This year’s treasure, a small yeti hidden in a tin case that looked like a cassette tape, was found outside the Downtowner Inn. Elizabeth says once she read about the “legwarmers” in Clue No. 3, she recalled waiting for her mother outside the Downtowner when they offered a morning aerobics class, and that’s how she and her family figured out the hiding place.

The Pitmans won $500 donated by Doug Reed of Whitefish Lake Restaurant and Eric Schmidt of First Interstate Bank.
