The Lady Bulldogs had a tough week on the court, losing to Eureka 57-25 on Thursday and dropping another to Browning 71-41 on Friday.

Against the Eureka Lions, Whitefish kept the game close in the first half despite not shooting well. The Bulldogs only scored 2 points in the first quarter and trailed the Lions 19-11 at halftime.

The third and fourth quarters completely swung in favor of Eureka who came out firing in the second half. Eureka put up 23 points in the third quarter which made the game out of reach for Whitefish.

Bulldog Jude Perry led her team with 8 points and Hailey Ells had 6 points; Ainsley Scott added 4.

Eureka’s Jimena Sanchez put up 15 to lead the Lions.

The next evening in Browning, the Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start and couldn’t defend Browning’s excellent shooters. Browning put in 43 points in the first half while Whitefish again struggled offensively.

Browning player Mecca Bullchild had a game-high 22 points to lead her team. Whitefish sophomore Bailey Smith put in 11 points while senior Taylor Means had 10. Perry contributed 7 points and Erin Wilde had 6 to help the Bulldogs to a total of 41 points.

Whitefish was set to host Polson on Tuesday after press time. Then the Lady Bulldogs will have Déjà vu as they play Eureka, this time on the road, on Thursday and host Browning on Friday.
