Police Calls: Early morning fun, an Aussie makes the rounds

Nov. 26

2:08 p.m. One of the owners of a stickered vehicle called to find out why his car got a sticker and his neighbors’ cars didn’t. His questions were answered by the authorities.

4:57 p.m. A man hit a parked vehicle on Lupfer Avenue. Insurance information was exchanged.

8:25 p.m. Two pairs of skis that were leaning on a light pole on Spokane Avenue were collected by police and will be added to the found property department.

10:22 p.m. It appeared to someone on Highway 93 that the Doordasher appeared to have been drinking.

1:52 a.m. Two open containers were disposed of in the trash on Railway Street after the holders were advised of the open container ordinance.

3:29 a.m. More vehicles were stickered for being parked too long, this time on Columbia Avenue and on Pine Avenue.

4:52 a.m. Someone who lives nearby called to report that two females were standing in front of a business on Second Street, being very loud, talking, yelling and laughing. The caller said it sounded like they were calming down but he would still like them to be moved along or quieted down.

Nov. 27

4:04 p.m. The alleged shoplifter’s pink hair and green and white coat might make her easier to catch. The caller reported that she stole clothing from the store on Highway 93 and left a security tag in the bathroom.

9:19 p.m. Poor parking strikes again, this time on Waverly Place and on Somers Avenue.

10:19 p.m. A Pontiac was the victim of a hit and run on Central Avenue. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle.

12:56 a.m. Vehicles continue to be stickered for having been parked, either for too long or on the wrong side of the street on Central Avenue, Kalispell Avenue and Pine Avenue.

3:01 a.m. The crosswalk flashing light was stuck on flashing on the VFW side of Baker Avenue. Public Works was notified.

Nov. 28

8:14 a.m. A small Australian dog might have been looking to have a g’day and went running loose near Third Street, wearing a red bandana.

9:51 a.m. A couple cars on Central Avenue have amassed several stickers for parking there for an extended period and are in danger of being towed.

9:54 a.m. The driver headed to the police station when she was being aggressively followed and tailgated by a reckless driver. The wild driver stopped following soon thereafter.

3:01 p.m. An alarm was sounded on Bay Point Drive but the male found in the crawlspace with tools did not appear to be suspicious as the entire situation appeared to be service related. The owners are out of town and did not respond.

4:07 p.m. The caller had questions about the orange sticker on his vehicle and his questions were answered.

6:05 p.m. Someone thinks they have seen the little, red-bandana-wearing Australian dog from this morning, now running around JP Road.

8:15 p.m. On Columbia Avenue, a woman and her mother heard a sound in the attic and called to get it checked out. Law enforcement found that everything was ok.

9:41 p.m. The employee of the location on Wisconsin Avenue said there were trespassers in the hot tub and wanted them cited and removed. He said their ages ranged from 18 - 21 years and it is a different group than the one that is involved in an ongoing issue there.

2:31 a.m. When a 911 call came in, the caller said he called accidentally. When dispatch asked him for his address, he began mumbling, cursing and slurring his words. Police checked the area plotted by his phone and found nothing out of the ordinary.
