July 27
10:24 a.m. A black Chevy driving 80 mph almost hit another vehicle on Highway 40.
10:15 p.m. Train conductors were dealing with an unruly female passenger who needed to leave the property and buy a ticket to California in the morning.
4:16 a.m. A large black bear was running in the parking lot of a business on Thirteenth Street.
July 28
8:59 a.m. Sometime in the last month, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Ford truck on Railway Street.
9:19 a.m. A big truck hit a light post on the corner of Second Street and Baker Avenue but there was no major damage to the post but the truck suffered a flat tire.
3:18 a.m. A male guest of the hotel on Third Street climbed to the rooftop with a speaker blaring rap music and proceeded to pass out. He was helped back to his room.
July 29
10:38 a.m. The owner of the silver Mercedes camper van with California license plates that was parked on Spokane Avenue for at least two days said he would get it moved.
August 9
7:49 a.m. A three vehicle accident on Highway 93 resulted in no injuries.
8:08 a.m. Someone found a phone on top of a trash can and turned it into law enforcement. The phone was ringing when he found it.
2:44 p.m. Although the caller said he was aware of the right to free speech, he is concerned the people staking signs into the lawn are doing damage to the property.
4:15 p.m. Two cars collided on Spokane Avenue. There were no injuries.
August 10
9:10 a.m. A stray pointer mix named Sadie was found outside the dog park. The owner was eventually found.
9:53 a.m. A driver on Highway 93 was given a warning for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
1:19 p.m. The caller reported his small black Labrador took off from his yard and is wandering around.
4:16 p.m. The two tan pit mix dogs running down Third Street reportedly belong on Jennings Avenue and have attacked the caller's dog in the past.
8:27 p.m. There was a dumpster fire on Cascade Court.
8:50 p.m. The caller said she could keep the lost, friendly, female St. Bernard who was walking down the street for a little while and would have her leashed up in the yard until someone comes to retrieve her.
10:15 p.m. A resident of Iowa Avenue called because there was a bear in his backyard. Later the bear moved to the alley, dumped and ate some trash then climbed a tree.
1:00 a.m. Someone driving a gray Toyota Tundra hit two trees on the corner of O’Brien Avenue and Tenth Street.
1:03 a.m. A bartender called police to report a male with a pink backpack trying to start a fight on Central Avenue.
