Beginners to elite athletes compete at Whitefish Lake Triathlon

Seventy people competed in the Whitefish Lake Triathlon on Sunday.

The local race had hoped to attract both beginners and experienced triathlon athletes to compete side-by-side in a friendly environment. Many people registered for the event and had a fantastic time swimming, biking and running through the course.

Ryan Seguine of Whitefish took first place overall with a time of 1:03:53.37. Whitefish’s Jeff Brown came across the finish line just a few minutes later for second place and Scarlet Kaplan of Whitefish took third overall and first in the women’s category with a time of 1:09:45.87.
