Project Whitefish Wine and Food Fest returns

| April 27, 2022 1:00 AM

For the last 31 years, Whitefish has hosted the annual Whitefish tradition of the Project Whitefish Wine and Food Fest. This year’s event, themed May the Fourth Be With You, will be held at Grouse Mountain Lodge on Wednesday, May 4 from 6-9 p.m.

The annual event raises much-needed funds to support kids in our community through sports and the performing arts. All proceeds from this benefit go to Project Whitefish Kids, the organization that maintains the Smith Fields Sports Complex for several sports teams, and the Whitefish Theatre Company.

The food is always superb with a fine sampling of cuisines from local restaurants including Indah Sushi, Logan’s Grill at Grouse, Ed McGrew’s Barbeque, Craggy Range, Last Chair Kitchen & Bar, Fleur Bake Shop, and Whitefish Lake Restaurant. Fun Beverage always makes wine tasting a delight, providing a wonderful selection of wines and introducing new varieties for the tasters to sample. Montana Coffee Traders will supply plenty of coffee for everyone and craft beer will also be provided by Jeremiah Johnson and Bonsai Brewery.

A silent and live auction highlights the evening with several exciting items available this year. Auction items include a Golden Knights Las Vegas package, a cooking class for 10 at Trovare, a weekend getaway in Essex, a private movie party, sporting equipment, wine, restaurant gift certificates, theatre tickets, and much more. Local businesses and individuals have donated all of these items.

As a special treat, John Dunnigan and David Walburn will be playing music during the evening and acting as the event’s emcees.

Seating is limited to 150. Tickets are $100 per person and include all food and beverages. You can also buy an entire table for ten for $1000 or sponsor a table for $500 that comes with two tickets. Sponsored tables are conveniently located near the auctioneer with your name or your company’s name listed. If you are unable to attend, donations are also accepted for this event. Tickets can be purchased at the O’Shaughnessy Center Box Office and online at www.whitefishtheatreco.org. Grab some friends, find your light saber, and call 862-5371 to get your tickets today.

Sponsors for Project Whitefish are Fun Beverage, Whitefish Theatre Company and Project Whitefish Kids.
