Police Calls: Young driver breaks a height limit bar
April 6
8:16 a.m. The caller believes the small brown dog with curly hair who is walking alone eastbound down Brimstone Drive is left unattended all night and is worried about its welfare.
10:28 a.m. A walker was reported stolen on Wisconsin Avenue.
2:35 p.m. Someone on Cottonwood Court has questions about overhanging tree limbs.
8:09 p.m. People who visit the neighbors always park in front of the fire hydrant and the caller wants it to stop.
9:03 p.m. The caller saw a small white dog with tan ears running near Highway 93.
April 7
12:55 a.m. Approximately six horses were near the northbound lane of Highway 93 close to Blanchard Lake Road.
6:33 p.m. He thought his guns were missing but the caller reported that his grandfather had locked them in a case.
10:14 p.m. A white truck hit the caller’s vehicle which was parked on Columbia Avenue and then sped away.
April 8
12:01 a.m. A driver who appeared to be a teenager was driving a Toyota Tacoma without bumpers or license plates when the paddle board in his truck hit an overhead height limit bar at a business on First Avenue. The bar fell and broke and the driver drove away.
3:42 p.m. A walker that is missing one wheel was found in a dumpster.
4:07 p.m. A reckless Uber Eats driver was accused of nearly hitting a child on Central Avenue and showing no remorse. Police discussed the incident with him and counseled him about parking in a handicapped spot while making deliveries.
7:11 p.m. A caller had concerns for a dog who is not being cared for on Brimstone Drive.
April 9
2:48 a.m. On Baker Avenue, a friend let a great pyrenees out but he came back to the caller about thirty minutes later.
12:43 a.m. A fire in a trash can on Central Avenue was apparently put out by some church members.
11:16 p.m. A caller put his keys down to tie his shoe and when he got up his keys were gone.
April 11
11:22 a.m. A black pit bull and his owner were reunited.
8:09 p.m. The driver of the Chevy truck that hit an employee’s car in the parking lot on Third Street left a note before driving away.
8:18 p.m. Reckless describes the driver of a Hyundai on Skyles Place, because he was driving too slowly and swerving.
8:39 p.m. Counseling was in order after a dark clad man yelled at a woman and jumped at her dog on Railway Street.
