Brace yourself for a completely new take on magic as the Whitefish Theatre Company hosts Arthur Trace and his jaw-dropping show “The Artful Deceiver”. Arthur will perform one night only on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Highly acclaimed by his peers as "one of the most unique magic acts in the world today," Los Angeles-based Arthur Trace is a world-traveling illusionist who has performed on Penn & Teller’s “Fool Us” and has been featured on the hit TV series “Master of Illusion”. Combining original magic, audience participation, and ingeniously humorous scenarios, Arthur’s show astonishes and entertains the mind, senses, and funny bone. Winner of the World Championships of Magic and a recipient of the Gold Medal from the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Arthur’s masterful sleight of hand illusions will wow young and old audiences alike with his creativity, imagination, and wit. Called “one of magic’s bona fide superstars” by the Chicago Tribune, Arthur “delights and astounds even the most skeptical of audiences”.
Born in Krakow, Poland, Arthur’s family immigrated to the Chicago area when he was two. His career in magic began to flourish in 2006 when he became the FISM award winner of the World Championships of Magic and in 2007 when he was awarded the “Best Cabaret Magic” award at the World Magic Awards. In 2015 and 2016, the Academy of Magical Arts nominated Arthur as the Stage Magician of the Year. Recognition from his peers has brought Arthur many exciting opportunities such as national television appearances in seven countries, a tour of China with the Wuqiao Circus Festival, and a starring role in Monte-Carlo Magic Stars at the Princess Grace Theatre in Monaco. His unique talents have also been featured in The Magical Mystery Show at the Wintergarten Varieté in Berlin and Supermagic at Teatro Olimpico in Rome.
