Whitefish softball records first home win

Whitefish softball got its first win of the season last week against Thompson Falls at Smith Fields in Whitefish.

The Bulldogs' record so far is 1-6.

After splitting games with Thompson Falls on Tuesday, April 12, Whitefish played a doubleheader against Ronan on Thursday; the scores were not provided to the Pilot.

Then Whitefish played in Polson on Monday afternoon — the girls dropped one to powerhouse Polson 3-18 and narrowly lost to Columbia Falls 23-18.

Whitefish is playing a junior varsity schedule this year with plans to play a full varsity schedule in 2023.

Whitefish was set to play in Eureka on Tuesday after press time. Then the Bulldogs will have the rest of the week to practice before hosting the Libby JV team on Monday, April 25. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
