After a two-year hiatus, the Pond Skim on Big Mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort dialed up the entertainment on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

The event featured 60 skimmers that did their best to ride over a custom-built pond for a chance at a $1,050 cash purse. Costumes were mandatory.

In years past the event always sells out and this year was no different. Upwards of 2000 spectators gather to end the ski season with a splash and watch competitors throw down.

The pond skim had been canceled for the 2020 and 2021 seasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
