Volleyball loses on the road in Libby

The Whitefish volleyball team continued to struggle on the court last week when the Bulldogs lost in three sets to the Loggers in Libby on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Libby defeated Whitefish 25-11, 25-21, 25-23.

The Lady Bulldogs are a young team, but senior Jadi Walburn continues to lead her team on the court. In the loss to Libby, Walburn recorded 11 digs, seven kills and two blocks.

Fellow senior Emma Trieweiler also had seven kills at the net and two aces. Sophomore Ainsley Scott led the Bulldogs in assists with seven, while freshman Kaydence Blackwell had six assists in the match.

Whitefish libero Ashleigh Markowitz had nine digs.

Whitefish was set to host Stillwater Christian on Tuesday after press time. Then the Bulldogs travel to Butte for a tournament on Friday and Saturday.
