| November 24, 2021 1:00 AM

The Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation is hosting its fundraising event Showcase of the Chefs on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

The annual event showcases chef creations from some of the best restaurants in the valley and features a silent and live auction. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

The theme of the event is Olympic Fever in anticipation of the Beijing Winter Games this February. Olympians will be there and there will be opportunities to have a photo of yourself taken on a podium with a real Olympic medal.

Participating restaurants this year include Abruzzo, Wasabi Sushi, Whitefish Lake Restaurant, Jalisco Cantina, and the Boat Club at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. The auctions are packed full of exciting items including a full day guided fishing trip on the river of your choice, a snowcat ski trip, a pontoon boat excursion and cocktail cruise on Lake McDonald or Hungry Horse Reservoir, a West Glacier winter weekend escape, and all kinds of gear, gift certificates, signed posters by Olympian Hilary Lindh and so much more.

Tickets are $100 per person or a table of eight is $700. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at https://events.eventgroove.com/event/Flathead-Valley-Ski-Education-Foundations-57327 or at Sportsman & Ski Haus in both Whitefish and Kalispell and at Great Northern Cycle & Ski in Whitefish. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if not sold out beforehand.
