Two councilors, judge file for re-election

Candidate filing for Whitefish City Council and the Municipal Judge position have opened.

Three Council positions are up for election for four-year terms.

Councilors Ben Davis and Andy Feury have already filed for re-election to run in the November election. Councilor Ryan Hennen’s term also expires at the end of the year.

Municipal Court Judge William Hileman has filed for re-election after serving one term in the spot.

The deadline to file for the election is June 21.

To run for positions in the city, the candidate must be a resident of Whitefish and registered to vote. To run for City Council, candidates must have been a resident of Whitefish for at least 60 days preceding the election.

Newly elected officials will take office in January 2022.
