Staff Report | May 12, 2021 1:00 AM

The Glacier Twins improved their overall record to 8-2 last week.

The Twins defeated the Clark Fork Riverdogs on Wednesday and then played a double header in Missoula on Sunday, defeating the U-19 Eagles in both games.

Glacier’s Stevyn Andrachick threw three no-hit innings as well as doubled and tripled at bat as on the Twins’ way to defeating Clark Fork 13-2. The Riverdogs are the first Sanders County-based Legion-level team in 20 years.

George Robbins also had three hits, drove in three runs and scored three times for the Twins, who opened the floodgates after the Riverdogs closed to 4-2 in the fourth inning.

Prior to that game, the twins defeated Missoula in a doubleheader 12-4 in the opener and 8-0 in the nightcap.

Jake Polumbus got the win in the first game on the mound and Hayden Meehan pitched the shutout in the second.

Mason Peters had two RBIs in the nightcap. Jake Polumbus and Robbins each had two hits in the 12-4 victory.

This week they play Mission on Thursday, and Butte on Saturday and Sunday, all on the road.
