Tee Time Changes

Starting today, May 5, tee time reservations can be made at 7:30 a.m. This includes those that walk up to make tee times and the online inventory will likewise be available at 7:30 a.m. We thank our members and guests for adjusting to the times as well as the new Tee Time management system and the online options. The total number of phone calls in the mornings has decreased dramatically and the efficiency of booking has increased proportionately. Thanks for calling to cancel times you and your group are not going to use.

Cart Path on 8 South

If you have played the South Course this year you will have noticed that the cart path has moved slightly and the hole is a little more open from the right side of the fairway. The cart path should remain in good shape longer since many of the roots have been trimmed that were raising havoc with the surface. Cart paths are like streets and require continual maintenance and this year will be no exception as a few other sections will be renovated.

Close Your Eyes

One way to get a feel for what your stroke is doing is to close your eyes after you line up your putt on the practice green. Place your ball on the green, get set, pick a line, close your eyes and make the putt. Before you open your eyes, estimate if you think it went left, right, short or long. After a little practice you will develop a feel for your stroke and know what a solid, straight one feels like. This should go a long way in making you a more consistent putter. As strange as it sounds you can do the same thing on the range with full shots.
