Police Calls: Caller says maid stole groceries
Saturday, May 29
11:35 a.m. A caller had questions about people riding motorbikes in a vacant lot on Texas Avenue.
1:53 p.m. A black lab mix with white on its tail named Cannon was missing near Minnesota Avenue.
3:08 p.m. Someone was advised to not park in a no parking zone on Washington Avenue.
3:11 p.m. Neighbors in an AirBnB were being loud out of spite according to a caller on Washington Avenue.
5:24 p.m. Someone backed into a light pole on Highway 93 and the pole looked to be close to falling over.
7:14 p.m. A caller accidentally dialed the police when trying to turn their phone off without their glasses.
9:16 p.m. A purse left on a bench was collected on Central Avenue.
11:15 p.m. A caller was arrested last month and now calling to locate their skateboard.
Sunday, May 30
10:59 a.m. A brown purse was found with the contents of one bobby pin, a mask and one eyeglass lens near Birch Point Drive.
11:47 a.m. Someone left their car parked on Central Avenue overnight and was trying to locate it the next morning.
4:59 p.m. Someone accidentally called the police while golfing.
10:37 p.m. A caller reported a group of high school aged kids revving their cars, playing loud games and running in their yard on Second Street.
10:52 p.m. Someone said a truck with 12 kids in it was going through the neighborhood near Pine Avenue.
11:53 p.m. A caller said a large group of guests were drinking and conversing loudly in a parking lot on Highway 93.
Monday, May 31
1:11 A caller said their neighbor didn’t have a secure trash can and bears kept getting into it, making a big mess near Wisconsin Avenue.
3:07 p.m. Someone said their groceries were stolen by the maid at their hotel and the front desk did nothing about it on Spokane Avenue. Then told dispatch, “Your town is the most corrupt in America.”
6:32 p.m. A caller said their chickens and spouse were chased by two brown dogs off leash at a park near their house.
10:50 p.m. A house had red lights on the front and appeared to be a party on Skyles Place.
Tuesday, June 1
11:40 a.m. A caller said they had a new phone and when they set it down it accidentally called police on Second Street.
1:08 p.m. Someone was sleeping in the mailroom in a building on Highway 93.
6:44 p.m. A caller complained that someone was playing music on a street corner on Central Avenue and it was “ruining everyone’s experience.”
10:45 p.m. A caller was upset that a neighbor was mowing their lawn with a loud mower because they wanted to go to sleep on Third Street.
