Police calls: Car accidentally runs over pedestrian’s big toe on Baker Avenue

Wednesday, July 7

09:52 a.m. A wallet with Minnie Mouse on it was lost at the Farmers’ Market.

10:17 a.m. Someone’s phone fell on the ground, causing it to call 911.

1:14 p.m. A caller said a person was screaming at them from behind their windshield for an unknown reason on Spokane Avenue.

1:35 p.m. Three teenagers were reportedly throwing things at people on Central Avenue.

Thursday, July 8

12:13 a.m. A white Lexus car in a no parking zone had a blown-out tire on Central Avenue.

8:22 a.m. A caller was concerned about kids in the neighborhood seeing a dead deer on the road near Glenwood Road.

9:56 a.m. A caller said someone walked out in front of their car in a place difficult to see and they ran over the pedestrian’s big toe on Baker Avenue.

10:00 a.m. A white Toyota SUV hit the median strip and was swerving all over the place on the highway according to a caller.

10:59 a.m. A caller said their trump flag was stolen a few weeks ago and then later someone spray painted “Dump Trump” on the road near Patton Lane.

1:13 p.m. A caller said there was a float plane parked on City Beach and refused to leave.

9:16 p.m. Some kids were said to be lighting off fireworks on Colorado Avenue.

12:13 a.m. Someone couldn’t find their vacation rental around Lupfer Avenue.

10:25 a.m. Someone called to report speeders around Parkway Drive and had concerns about children and pedestrians in the neighborhood.

3:27 p.m. A caller claimed another driver hit their car; however police said the damage had dust on it and was clearly not fresh on O’Brien Avenue.

4:16 p.m. A caller said there were two people floating on the Whitefish River and were throwing trash into the river.

8:13 p.m. A white Kia car drove over a retaining wall and couldn’t find anyone to respond on Baker Avenue.

9:50 p.m. A tour bus full of youngsters took over the pool area on The Quarry Road according to a caller.

11:54 p.m. Trailers were camped illegally at memorial field for a baseball tournament.

Saturday, July 10

10:48 a.m. Someone was testing a camp stove before heading into the woods on Highway 93.

2:10 p.m. A dog was howling in a car with the windows barely cracked near Second Street according to a concerned caller.

11:11 p.m. A semi truck hauling food appeared to be abandoned along Highway 93.

11:53 p.m. A caller complained of hearing loud music possibly coming from a restaurant along Central Avenue.
