City Council preview for Aug. 2

Whitefish City Council meets on Monday, Aug. 2 beginning at 7:10 p.m. at City Hall.

Items on the agenda, subject to change:

Consideration of a request from Project Whitefish Kids for a sign variance for Smith Fields Sports Complex located at 1701 Hospital Way.
Consideration of a request from Maureen Casey for a Conditional Use Permit for a guest house located at 350 Armory Road.
Consideration of an ordinance amending the Whitefish Legacy Homes Program and the Affordable Housing Subdivision Regulations of the Whitefish City Code to modify the formerly mandatory inclusionary zoning program to a voluntary program with incentive.
Consideration of a request from Eris Huemer and William Winans for a Whitefish Lake and Lakeshore Variance to place two docks at a property located in the county at 434 Pharma Road.
Consideration of an emergency ordinance placing a Stage II Fire Restriction within City limits with an immediate effective date.

During a work session at 5:45 p.m., Council is set to discuss a recommendation from the Climate Action Plan Standing Committee for creating a sustainability coordinator position.

During a work session at 6:15 p.m., Council is set to discuss on marijuana sales, storefronts and manufacturing.
