Bulldog Open big success

Lots of winners walked away from the Bulldog Open this past Sunday thanks to our generous sponsors. A big thank you to Don K Subaru, First Interstate Bank, Glacier Bank, American Bank, The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, Firebrand Hotel, Whitefish Lake Golf Club, Whitefish Lake Restaurant, The Golf Shop, National Parks Real Estate and many other business and individuals for sponsoring the Bulldog Open.

With 40 four-person teams, the field was full and we still managed to get around quicker than normal. The WHS Bulldog Golf Teams and coaches were on site helping to take care of all the little details that make for a highly successful tournament. Thanks to Tim Olson and his staff for another successfully organized event.

Club Championship Aug. 7-8

If you’re a member at Whitefish Lake Golf Club and maintain a handicap you should participate and enjoy the Club Championship. The tournament is arranged for various flights with champions crowned in the regular men’s and women’s division, senior and super senior, ladies senior and junior all getting awarded for their championship play. If you have not registered already please go online and click on the Club Championship link, then the Golf Genius Program will take your information. Remember you can pick your division and the tees you wish to play.

Let your arms hang for better putting

When you take your stance to putt, make sure your hands and arms hang down from your shoulders in a relaxed manner. This is the natural position for your shoulders to swing your arms in the putting position. If you reach for the ball you will have to make corrections during the stroke to keep the ball on line. Be relaxed and use a natural setup to make more putts.
