Many places could use improving
I find it very disheartening to continuously hear how the city and many residents are calling Whitefish Marine an eyesore. Please, quit shaming this business.
I am a third-generation Whitefish native and have witnessed the outrageous growth of our little town. I decided to take a drive from the Montana 40 and Highway 93 intersection and continue through town to the City Beach. There are many lots/ businesses along the way that one could say need improving. Starting with the old Fonner place at 40. No one is complaining about that? How about 13th and Spokane? First and Main? Edgewood and Wisconsin?
And there are many more that look a little tired. Including my own! Will you just pick on the new guy? It seems that our infrastructure is the eyesore to me. Same potholes I’ve dodged since getting my license in 1982. Traffic gridlock, every day, all day. No affordable homes or rent for the locals who bust their butts, year after year to make this place so unique and special. The “entrance” to our town? I think we’ve got bigger issues. During these difficult days, let’s stop tearing each other up and work on building one another up.
