| February 24, 2021 1:00 AM

Stumptown Art Studio has lots of winter classes to keep busy and creating.

A new session of classes begins on March 1 for both kids and adults. Classes include fused glass, ceramics, canvas painting, drawing and more. They are also offering a full week of spring break art camp for kids ages 3-12 starting March 22-26.

For The Kids

Art Exploration, offered on Tuesdays 2-3:30 p.m. ages 3-6, will focus on "Castles & Dragons" while our Painting With The Masters students, offered on Tuesdays 4-5:30 p.m. for ages 7 and up, will learn about Surrealism artists and how to paint in this unique style.

Toddler Time on Friday mornings from 9-10 a.m. is an opportunity to get a little messy (in a good way!) with your child age 5 and under during this parent/guardian participation class.

Homeschool Art Club offered on Fridays from 10:30-noon, for ages 6 and older, and is a great way for children to explore a variety of fun and engaging art projects in a creative environment.

Expressive Drawing For Teens! is a new class for teens ages 13-15. Students will focus on creative expression while learning and building upon new techniques using a variety of materials.

For The Adults

For those interested in working with clay there are two classes scheduled.

Handbuilding 101 begins on Wednesday, March 3. A beginners guide to all things hand built with endless possibilities during the eight-week course.

Beginning Clay, begins on Tuesday, April 6. All skill levels welcomed. A range of techniques will be covered to help you get started or further your knowledge of wheel, hand building and glazing.

Drop In Art Opportunities

Glass fusing and pottery painting options are also available as drop-in anytime opportunities. A lovely way to get creative without a big commitment. No experience needed.
