Food bank holds February food drive

North Valley Food Bank is holding a special food drive this month, and is also getting support from Whitefish Mountain Resort during a special fundraiser day.

The food bank is running a Valentine’s Day themed food drive called FEED LOVE from Feb 5. through Feb. 14.

The food bank is collecting “comfort food” to help our neighbors get through the rest of this winter. The food bank is asking for donations of soups, stews, pastas, baking supplies and other ingredients that will help people thrive in the cold weather.

Food donations can be dropped off in the bins outside the food bank at 251 Flathead Avenue or in donation bins at participating businesses in Whitefish. Look for the FEED LOVE postcards!

The food bank is also inviting people to FEED LOVE by sponsoring a family’s weekly groceries through donations on the food bank’s website, northvalleyfoodbank.org.

Whitefish Mountain Resort is hosting a “Lift-Up Against Hunger” fundraiser for North Valley Food Bank on Feb. 27. On that day, Whitefish Mountain Resort will match donations made at point of sale for lift tickets, retail, ski school, rental shops, and food and beverages.
