Nordic trails open

The Glacier Nordic Center at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course is open for cross-country skiing.

All 12K of trails are groomed daily for both skate and classic skiing. The Glacier Nordic Shop at the course offers rentals and lessons and is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm.

The daily trail fee is $15 ($7 for kids 8 to 17 and seniors 70 plus). A season membership is $70 for individuals and $140 for a family and $35 for 70 plus which allows unlimited skiing.

Glacier Nordic also grooms 25 kilometers of trail on Big Mountain and in Haskill Basin north of Whitefish. The trails may be accessed from the Big Mountain Trailhead or the Haskill Basin Trailhead. The Haskill Basin Trailhead is limited to 12 cars per a conditional use permit for low-impact recreational use with Flathead County. Please no parking on Haskill Basin Road or Haskill Creek Road (you may be towed). The Big Mountain Nordic Trails are open to the public and grooming and trailhead maintenance is supported by donations and a Montana State Parks Recreation Trails Program grant.
