Glacier Symphony holds holiday concerts
Glacier Symphony continues its holiday celebrations with a family-friendly concert tradition on Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20.
The symphony, under the baton of Maestro John Zoltek will perform at the Flathead High School Performance Hall.
“Come celebrate the Holiday Season with the Glacier Symphony in this fun-filled concert for the entire family,” Zoltek said.
The program opens with the spotlight on the symphony brass section performing festive music by Gabrieli, new arrangements of “Joy to the World’ and ‘A Coventry Carol” and two delightful and dramatic Christmas tales “The Toymaker” and “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” with narrator Suzie Wambeke, local actress and violinist in the Glacier Symphony.
The complete orchestra will then take the stage to offer a selection of popular Holiday Classics including the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, Sleigh Ride and more.
Bring the family and share the joys of the season with the Glacier Symphony. Both the young and the young-at-heart will delight in the festivities, experiencing some favorite holiday classics.
The Saturday performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday performance at 3 p.m.
