Actors bring beloved ‘Elf the Musical’ to stage

| December 8, 2021 1:00 AM

The Whitefish Theatre Company is presenting the beloved classic “Elf the Musical” through this weekend.

After tickets sold out for most of remaining live shows on Dec. 9-12, WTC has added an extra matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11. Shows are at the O'Shaughnessy Center.

There are also virtual tickets available allowing folks to watch the magical musical from the comfort of their own home. WTC is taking names for a waitlist for tickets by calling 862-5371.

“Elf The Musical” is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. When he discovers that he is not really an elf — his enormous size and poor toy-making skills in Santa’s Workshop should have tipped him off — he sets off for New York City to find his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his real father is on the naughty list and his half-brother does not even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the magic of Christmas.

The cast is comprised of 29 actors from around the Flathead Valley.

For virtual tickets, visit www.whitefishtheatreco.org to purchase “Rent Video” tickets for each person watching the show. The show can be viewed online anytime from Dec. 9 to Dec. 12. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $10 for students.

Visit the WTC Box Office at 1 Central Ave. in Whitefish, or call 862-5371, for all inquiries or questions. Box office hours are from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
