Whitefish Theatre Company announces 2021-2022 season
The Whitefish Theatre Company has a slate of great entertainment lined up for its 2021-2022 season. Tickets and build-your-own season passes are on sale now. Download the ticket order form on the website, www.whitefishtheatreco.org, or call the WTC box office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to order season tickets.
If you had a season pass in 2019-2020 and did not renew for the 2020-2021 season, you still have a credit for three shows. Call for special pricing if you want to renew your season pass this year.
WTC 2021-2022 season
Sept. 25-26: “The Cemetery Club” (Black Curtain Theatre) — Funny and touching play about enduring friendships, cherishing the past, and embracing the future.
Oct. 15-17 and Oct. 21-23 (Oct. 14 preview): “Now and Then” (mainstage theater) — Heartfelt romantic comedy about the costs of the choices we make, and the people who make them with us.
Oct. 28: Okaidja (music) — Okaidja Afroso is an Afro-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Ghana, West Africa
Dec. 2-5 and Dec. 9-12 (Dec. 1 preview) — “ELF The Musical” (mainstage musical) — Modern holiday classic sure to have everyone embracing their inner elf.
Dec. 29 — KT Tunstall (music special event: not part of the season or BYO ticket) — Special performance from Grammy-nominated Scotland born and now Los Angeles-based artist with heartfelt pop, bona fide electric blues, and left-field alt-folk.
Jan. 21: Bridge & Wolak (music) — Each member of this internationally acclaimed music and comedy duo is a “double threat” on two instruments: Michael Bridge plays accordion and piano and Kornel Wolak plays clarinet and piano, integrating traditional acoustic instruments with modern digital technology.
Jan. 29-30: “Mauritius” (Black Curtain Theatre) — Ingenious fast-paced thriller that is a gripping blend of sharp comedy and heart-pounding drama.
Feb. 25-27 and March 3-5 (Feb. 24 preview): “The Revolutionists” (cabaret theater) — Fresh and fast-paced comedy by award-winning playwright Lauren Gunderson with a quartet of beautiful, badass women raising hell in Paris during the French Revolution.
March 12-13: “Bauer” (Black Curtain Theatre) — True story of forgotten abstract artist Rudolf Bauer, peer to Picasso, Chagall and Kandinsky, and beacon to Pollock and Rothko.
March 17: Paul Beaubrun (music) — Scion of Haitian musical royalty, singer and multi-instrumentalist.
April 8-10 and April 14-16 (April 7 preview): “Sense and Sensibility” (mainstage theater) —Called “inventive, faithful, clever and hilarious,” this marvelous play will delight Austen fans and novices alike.
April 20: Derina Harvey Band (music) — Fearless front-woman Harvey leads this Celtic Rock sensation and winners of the People’s Choice Award at the 2018 Edmonton Music Awards.
May 6: Arthur Trace (special event) — One of the most unique acts in the world of magic today," Los Angeles-based Trace is a world-traveling illusionist.
May 12: 2B2 John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band (music) — Called the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music, J2B2’s stellar live shows have the bluegrass world buzzing.
May 27-29 and June 2-4 (May 26 preview): “Murder on the Orient Express” (mainstage theater) — This masterpiece promises a suspenseful and thrilling ride that is sure to have everyone in the audience guessing who did it.
