Climate Smart hosts webinars on zero waste

Climate Smart Glacier County is holding a webinar series titled, “Beyond Recycling: Making Zero Waste Work,” to learn, share, and discuss how to make zero waste a reality.

Each webinar features expert panelists for question and answer sessions and professional consultation. Registration is free and attendees will have an opportunity to win gift cards from a variety of sustainable local businesses through a raffle drawing at each session.

Zero Waste International Alliance defines it as “the conservation of all resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery of products, packaging, and materials without burning and with no discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health.”

The webinar series will cover a range of subjects, including:

April 28: “Compost and Organic Waste” (Panelists: Happy Trash Can and City of Bozeman)

May 26: “Zero Waste Businesses: Making Them Work

June 30: “Innovators in Zero Waste”

Sept 29: “Zero Waste Communities in Action”

Oct. 27: “Circling Back: Where Do We Go From Here?”
