Supports McGrew, Losleben for rural fire board
I am a resident of the Whitefish Fire Service Area and have been a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 26 years. I spent seven years as a volunteer with the Whitefish Fire Department and the last four years as a paid firefighter/paramedic with the Whitefish Fire Department.
I understand the dynamics and capabilities of local emergency services very well. As a resident of the fire service area, I have been very concerned about the lack of transparency and direction the existing board is going. I believe they are disregarding the wishes of most of the citizens they are supposed to represent.
I submitted an application to be on the board to help bring representation and accountability to the board. Since I submitted my application, the board has raised concerns about a potential conflict of interest since I am a City of Whitefish employee. To prevent more potential conflict at this time, I am not actively running for the position and strongly endorse George Losleben and Ed McGrew for the two open positions. These gentlemen are well experienced, understand the local dynamics and I believe will hold the board accountable to the residents.
As a resident of the Whitefish Fire Service Area my family's safety depends on the decisions made by this board. I ask you to vote for George Losleben and Ed McGrew.
