No. 2582 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, April 19, 2021, at 7:10 PM, to be held remotely via WebEx, the Whitefish City Council will conduct a public hearing and take public comment regarding adoption of a resolution creating a parking permit pilot program during the months of July and August of 2021, consisting of 85 parking permits reserved for employees and business owners, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the following parking lots: (1) at East 3rd Street and Central Avenue; (2) at East 1st Street and Spokane Avenue; (3) directly south of the Whitefish Community Library; and (4) on the third floor of the City Hall Parking Structure. The City Council will also conduct a public hearing and take public comment regarding the adoption of a fee of $20/month for each parking permit with one license plate per permit. No. 2585 Proposed Jellison Bearpaw Timber Sale: The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC), Stillwater Unit is proposing to harvest timber in T32N R23W, sections 1 and 2; T33N R22W sections 19, 30-32 and T33N R23W sections 13, 14, 23, 24 and 25 approximately 4-9 miles northeast of Olney, Montana, in the Stillwater State Forest in Flathead County. The proposal would harvest 1.5-3 million board feet (MMbf) within a 2372-acre project area. The DNRC is in the scoping phase of the project environmental assessment and is accepting comments through May 6, 2021. No. 2584 Notice of Annual School Election: Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of Whitefish School District No. 44, Flathead County, State of Montana that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday May 4, 2021, by mail ballot. Ballots may be returned to the Whitefish School District located at 600 E 2nd Street, Whitefish, MT 59937, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Electors will consider two (2) Trustees to be elected for a three (3) year term. Absentee ballots will be available for voting at the District Office located at 600 E 2nd Street, Whitefish, MT 59937, on April 14, 2021 and until noon on Monday May 3, 2021. Ballots will be mailed April 16, 2021. If you miss the regular registration deadline (30 days prior to the election), you may still register for the election by showing up at the Flathead County Election Office located at 40 11th Street W., Suite 230, Kalispell, MT 59901, up to and including on election day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before election day, you may complete and submit a voter registration card but you will need to return to the school district on election day to pick and vote a ballot.
