Boys nabs first, girls second at Libby golf tourney
The Whitefish golf team had a strong showing last week in Libby with the boys team taking first and the girls team earning second at the Cabinet View Invitational High School Golf Tournament.
The boys team earned first place with a score of 348, ahead of Polson with 366 and Columbia Falls came in third with a score of 381.
Bulldog Marcus Kilman took first at the tournament with a score of 75 to lead his team.
Jonny Nix tied for sixth place with a score of 89 and Bjorn Olson finished with a score of 90 earning 10th place at the tournament.
Finn Stagg carded a 94 and Matthew Peschel finished with a 98.
The Whitefish girls earned second place at the tournament with a score of 403. The Ronan girls nabbed first place with a score of 401 and Polson came away with third place with a score of 414.
Kendall Reed was the top golfer for Whitefish earning third place on the girls side with a score of 91. Bulldog Anna Elm earned fourth place with a 96, and Anyah Cripe took 10th place with a 105.
Grace Jensen earned a 111 and Makenna Woody earned a score of 112.
The team was set to play Monday in Polson and then heads to Frenchtown on Wednesday (today).
