Chamber hosts business roundtable meetings

| September 9, 2020 1:00 AM

The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce is hosting a series of online business roundtable meetings this month.

The chamber says the meetings are an effort to bring local business owners together to discuss the summer and what they see coming in the months ahead.

“It’s been a crazy summer,” said Chamber Executive Director Kevin Gartland, “and for that matter, an absolutely insane 2020. Most Whitefish businesses have found a way to weather the COVID-19 shutdown, the lockdown, the re-opening and the onslaught of summer crowds, but it hasn’t been easy.”

Gartland said the meetings are designed to give business owners and managers a chance to talk with one another and help identify ways to work together through the pandemic.

The meetings are being held via the Zoom videoconferencing, and have been organized by business type in order to facilitate discussion within certain specific industries.

The meeting schedule:

• Thursday, Sept. 10 - Restaurant/Bar Roundtable

• Tuesday, Sept. 15 - Lodging Industry Roundtable

• Thursday, Sept. 17 - Retail Roundtable

• Thursday Sept. 24 - General Business RoundtableAll meetings will be held from 10-11:15 a.m., and attended by chamber staff and board members.

Members in the retail, lodging and restaurant/bar industries will receive invitations to attend those meetings via email; sign-up info for the General Business Roundtable on Sept. 24 will be included in the chamber’s weekly email blasts.
