Romano will make difference
In this pandemic year, which has been the challenge of a lifetime for our teachers and our whole school district, I write in support of Melissa Romano for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Melissa is an award-winning public school teacher with a focus on math instruction in the Helena schools. Melissa is running against Elsie Arnitzen, the current incumbent. Elsie’s voice has been rarely heard during this difficult time and she attacked the governor’s office for sending aid during the pandemic to Montana’s public schools. Although Elsie has been an educator for 30 years, not a single public school teacher has supported her campaign.
Melissa Romano understands the effort it will take to put Montana’s schools back on track after this pandemic. We need someone to advocate for quality public education with our legislature, someone who will hire topnotch people to manage all the aspects of the Office of Public Instruction in Helena, and an educator teachers will respect in the coming years.
Please consider a vote for Romano on this fall’s ballot for Superintendent of Public Instruction. From small towns to communities like Whitefish, leadership in Helena can make a big difference.
