Police Calls: Bear hanging out in tree
Friday, April 24
10:19 a.m. A man, who apparently had been trespassing and sleeping on the caller’s property, emerged from the woods and approached the caller with a weapon in hand.
10:24 a.m. A black bear was spotted on a Suncrest Drive deck.
12:49 p.m. A caller reported finding some bones wrapped in a bed sheet in a gravel pile.
2:08 p.m. The caller found a gun in the brush along State Park Road.

12:37 p.m. A Waverly Place caller heard a disturbing argument going on between neighbors.
Sunday, April 26
9:15 a.m. In an ongoing issue, the caller’s neighbor kept standing outside and staring through the window.
1:59 a.m. A bear was “just hanging out in a tree” on Montana Avenue.
8:33 p.m. A Lion Mountain Loop caller wanted to know what kinds of large cats lived nearby after seeing one, then went outside for a picture.
Monday, April 27
1:42 p.m. A caller was getting in a physical altercation with his son, who was on meth.
3:18 p.m. A man in a red hat kept jumping a gate to access a boat dock.
8:19 p.m. Two boys stole an item, possibly a torch of some sort, from a Dakota Avenue construction site.
Tuesday, April 28
12:12 a.m. A man tried breaking a door down at a Baker Avenue apartment.
8:19 a.m. A dog left a red Jeep on Second Street, though it’s not clear if the dog fled the car or left it on the street.
1:41 p.m. The caller had questions about what one would do if they had a stolen gun.
Wednesday, April 29
7:30 a.m. A bear spread garbage in a backyard and hid in a tree on Hazel Place.
8:35 a.m. A caller with a sharp nose detected the smell of marijuana coming from a Spokane Avenue business.
2:57 p.m. A caller wanted officers to “go by and scare” kids away from a park.
10:41 p.m. A man was possibly drunk and stumbling around on Kalispell Avenue.
Thursday, April 30
1:46 a.m. An unhappy man who “looked off” was wandering around the depot.
8:07 a.m. A man dressed in black was wandering a Baker Avenue parking lot with his friend Jack Daniels.
1:33 p.m. A woman was seen taking items out of a local park.
4:16 p.m. People were leaving trash out on Houston Drive, causing the caller to worry about bears.
8:17 p.m. A man was standing outside and staring at a 13th Street building.
