Barbara Joyce Lengstorf

Barbara Joyce Lengstorf passed away March 7, 2020. She felt so much love, was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully at home in Ridgefield, Washington.

Barb was born Oct. 2, 1939, to Frank and Anne Wolfe in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated from Flathead High School in 1957. She married Walter Eugene Lengstorf and together they had five children whom they raised in Whitefish.

Barbara was a member of St. Charles Borromeo, sang with Calamity Jane’s, belonged to the Whitefish Women of the Moose and often cooked and donated meals and helped serve homeless families in the Flathead.

Barb’s greatest joys were rode trips, Sunday drives, music, puzzling, family and friends. God was a very important part of her everyday life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walt, son Brett and grandson Josh, four sisters, three brothers and numerous other loved ones.

Barbara is survived by her sister Carolyn Kent of Oregon, her children Yvonne (Kendall) Slaybaugh, Cecelia (Kim) Ohs, her daughter-in-law Melissa (Brett) Lengstorf, sons Wally (Wendy) Lengstorf and Eric (Lisa) Lengstorf, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed immeasurably.

Services are planned for July 2020 in Whitefish.
