Flathead Classic

The Flathead Classic Sled Dog Race returned to Olney last weekend, held at Dog Creek Lodge off Highway 93.

The race featured six-dog, four-dog, one-dog skijoring, two-dog skijoring and fat-bike races.

Matt Johnson of Belt was the overall six-dog class winner, with a combined time of 2:41:21.

In the four-dog class, Mikka Douglass of Easton, Washington, won with a combined time of 39:49.92.

Katherine Spencer of Vernon, British Columbia, won the two-dog skijor, and Jamie Johnson of Belt won the one-dog skijor.

In the bike-jor, Charlotte Sause of Troutdale, Oregon, won the two-dog class, while Teresa Petterson of Victor won the single dog.

Harleigh Dutton of St. Maries, Idaho, was the lone competitor in the four-dog junior race, and Landon Johnson of Belt won the one-dog pee-wee race.
