Council looks at housing project

Whitefish City Council meets on Monday, July 6 at 7:10 p.m. at the City Hall at 418 E. Second St. The following agenda items will be discussed, subject to change:

• Consideration of a request from Big Mountain River LLC for a 20-townhouse residential subdivision on West Second Street.

• Consideration of a request by John Shigo and Christina Larsen for a conditional use permit to construct an accessory apartment in an existing structure at 725 Somers Ave.

• Consideration of a determination of subdivision exemption request from Kelly Laab for property at 777 Dakota Ave.

• Consideration of a resolution requesting distribution of Bridge and Road Safety and Accountability Program Funds.

• Consideration of a letter of support for the Great American Outdoors Act.

• Consideration of a letter from residents of Lion Mountain Loop Road to three removable speed bumps to the road.

• Consideration of a resolution encouraging the use of masks while in public to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

During a work session at 5 p.m., Council will hold a goal setting session.
