Beale, Drown named to Shrine Game
The Bulldogs will have two representatives on the gridiron during this year’s East-West Shrine Game.
Devin Beale and Logan Drown are both on the West alternate roster for the game, with Beale listed at running back and Drown listed as an inside linebacker. Both players earned All-State and All-Conference honors for their play on offense and defense.
Forty Montana players are selected to compete on each team, along with two players from Calgary, one for the East team and one for the West.
The East team will be coached by John Fitzgerald from Red Lodge, while Arie Grey of Butte High will coach the West team.
Every year since 1947, Montana’s best prep players are selected to compete in the Shrine Game to raise money and awareness for the orthopedic and burn clinic at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Spokane, Washington. In the last 10 years the game has raised nearly $1 million.
