Glacier Medical Associates makes donations to nonprofits

Glacier Medical Associates and Glacier Med Spa gave a total of $13,375 to five local charities in 2019.

Donations included $2,675 to Sparrows Nest, $2,675 to North Valley Food Bank, $2,675 to the Backpack Assistance program, $2,675 to the Whitefish Trail through Whitefish Legacy Partners and $2,675 to the Samaritan House.

Glacier Medical Associates also awards $5,000 in scholarships annually to local high school graduates from Columbia Falls High School and Whitefish High School. The 2019 recipients were Keegan Wold and Marlee Bender from WHS, as well as Madison Casazza and Cassidy Norick from CFHS.

The providers who own Glacier Medical and Glacier Med spa give back all proceeds from products at the Med Spa to the community.

Most recently GMA added Dr. Hikmat Maaliki, Dr. Karen Vesely and two physician assistants Erika Wright and Taylor Read. These providers join Dr. Jay Erickson, Dr. John Kalbfleisch, Dr. Dan Munzing, Dr. Jon Miller, Dr. Bayne French, Dr. Jennie Eckstrom, Dr. Courtney Austin, Dr. Jeremy Jennings, Dr. Kathy Neff along with nurse practitioners Rayne Beach, Laura Hunter, Tara Smith-Garcia, Justine Derousse and Ellen Kirschbaum along with physician assistant Shannon Kerley.

Glacier Medical is a value-based clinic allowing the focus to be on the quality of care for the patient rather than quantity of care. Glacier Medical Associates is also planning to expand to Columbia Falls in September of this year. The clinic plans to offer full service primary and urgent care, while keeping all current operations at the Whitefish location.
