Ski foundation holds online auction fundraiser
The Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation is holding an online auction Dec. 5- 12 as a fundraiser.
The first-time auction event, dubbed “Go Big and Stay Home,” is scheduled as a replacement for the long-standing Showcase of the Chefs Dinner and Auction which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This auction provides a great opportunity to sustain our fundraising efforts in spite of the COVID impact on live events” said Ski Foundation Director Tim Hinderman. “Nearly all the businesses that supported our live auction in prior years have donated some great items for the online auction.”
The auction will be conducted by Gardner Auction Service.
Auction items include winter and summer weekend get-aways to Fernie, Schweitzer and the Isaac Walton Inn, artwork by local artists Colt Idol and Marshall Noice, guided fly-fishing trips on the North Fork, Clark Fork and Missouri Rivers, a standup paddleboard, two rare bottles of George T. Stagg Kentucky Bourbon, sunset sailboat cruise on Flathead Lake, gift baskets from merchants all around the Valley and many more items.
To view auction items and to submit bids, visit www.gardnerauction.com starting Dec. 5.
All proceeds benefit the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation Race Team and Ski Heritage Center Museum.
